Jack Lodge Professional Photographer

My work spans from ancient woodlands hidden within the Dorset countryside to the blue-hour streets of Venice and the rolling seas of the Arctic. Whether photographing wild owls or polar bears, I’d like to think my approach is rooted in planning, patience, persistence and perseverance.

I truly believe a camera becomes a bridge between imagination and reality. Through customisation and familiarity, my camera has become an extension of my hand, allowing ideas to flow instinctively from vision to final image

Jack Lodge is a 32-year-old professional landscape, nature, and wildlife photographer based in Wimborne, Dorset, in the South West of England. After graduating with a degree in Architecture in 2014, Jack discovered photography as a creative outlet, inspired by a trip to Venice, a place that shaped his appreciation for light, atmosphere, and storytelling.

Since then, photography has become both his profession and his way of life. Jack uses the camera to document the passing of time, capturing the subtle changes of each season as light and weather continually transform the landscapes around us. His work ranges from enchanting ancient woodlands in the Dorset countryside to the blue-hour streets of Venice and the rolling seas of the Arctic.

Alongside landscapes, Jack’s wildlife photography follows encounters close to home, photographing wild owls and birds of prey, to remote experiences with polar bears and the mighty golden eagle. Deeply invested in the full creative process, Jack is highly passionate about taking his work from capture to print, ensuring each photograph is carefully crafted from the moment it’s made in the field, to its rightful home on paper. Through his photographs, workshops, prints and talks, Jack aims to inspire people to slow down, explore, and develop a deeper appreciation for the natural world, one moment, one season, and one story at a time.

“We've just finished a 3-day private workshop with Jack, and what a fabulous time we had. Jack is an absolute blast - he's hugely experienced, a great teacher, lovely company and guide. I can't recommend him highly enough - our group was pretty experienced photographers, which Jack totally took into account and tailored accordingly.”
